Journal Your Christmas

I have decided to join the inspiring Journal Your Christmas by Shimelle - its my first year attempting this fabtastic project and in fact my first time ever doing any kind of scrapbooking so its a little daunting to say the least!! Its funny but scrapbooking was actually the thing that got me into crafting about 2 years ago and yet I've never gotten round to doing it - its been something I keep saying I'll do and never do! I have spent some time today reading the prompts so far and looking at the wonderful pictures of previous creations (it actually began on 1st December but I only signed up yesterday so some catching up to do for me - EEK!) The first prompt is the Manifesto and I am loving this printable one provided - it comes in 3 colours - red, green & pink! Yay! you know how much I love pink! I've decided to print out the pink one for in my 'dolly room' (thats my craft room to you - just about everythings pink in there!!) and then I'm gonna print it in red for the first page of my journal and also another red one which I'm gonna put in a frame to add to my crimbo decorations and put it on the wall for the festive period! I'm also loving the journal tags and the red dotty numbers especially as I've decided the theme for my journal this year is red & white and polka dots with some elements of green - thought I'd go with traditional colours for my first one!

Will post photos once I get some pages done - first need to decide on size and find an album!! then do the album cover... then the first 4 pages... lots to do LOL!!

Another Christmas Card...

and another Christmas card... I actually added some stickles glitter glue to the snowflakes embossed on the white card after I'd taken this photo...

Christmas Card - Hello Kitty...

My husband asked me to make his boss a Hello Kitty Christmas Card as she apparently loves Hello Kitty! I did my best to oblige and here is the result...

I used some red dotty paper & ran a piece of white card through my cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder! The image was actually a small tag/card and I embellished using glossy accents for her coat & hair bow and Stickles for her collar & coat hem and the sentiment... I also added some snowflakes cut with my Martha Stewart punch and some card candy covered in more stickles to finish it off...

Christmas Towel Cake...

I decided to make my friend Janey a Christmas Cake 'with a difference'...

Contents:
Christmas Festive Tea Towels
Red/White Tea Towels
Snowman Kitchen Roll x2
Bottle of wine
Bar of Chocolate
Christmas Chocolates
Snowman Tray & Dish
Christmas Mug
Hot chocolate Sachets
Maltesers hot chocolate sachets
Tube of Maltesers
Reindeer keyring
Scented tealights & holder - spiced apple & mulled wine

and wrapped... I think it looked really cute & will be making more of these next Christmas! Luckily she loved it too!!

Christmas Cards I made...

Finally getting round to updating my blog - its been ages! Anyway here are some photos of some more Christmas Cards I made - I totally ran out of time so if you didn't get a card from me I am sooooo sorry!! I promise to do better next Christmas as my plan is to make Christmas cards throughout the year!!

I made these two cards for my nieces and personalised them with their names using digital images which I embellished by using glossy accents and stickles glitter glue for the santa hats, also used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder to emboss the red & white paper and used my cuttlebug scalloped rectangles to cut the shapes. The scalloped cards were from Craftwork Cards & I also used the digital santa download from Pollycraft...

Made these for my mum & dad & my brother & SIL...
and here are a selection of other christmas cards I made...

made a couple of these!

think I made about 6 of these!

I made about 6 of these too!

and also made several of these!!

Penguin Christmas Cards

Well I have been busy making Christmas cards for an order for my mum!! Here are 9 completed so far - only got another 21 to make!! Love this penguin which was a freebie from Pollycraft!! My Cuttlebug has been put to good use as I have used it to make the scallop circles, the oval sentiment tags, the holly & also used the swiss dots embossing folder for two of the card blanks as well as some of the scallops!! I made the snowflakes using my new Martha Stewart punch bought at the NEC last friday and I love it! I have got another 4 cards almost completed so will post photos once done!!

Xmas Cards - Non-traditional!

Here are a couple of Xmas cards I made a little while ago for the Crafty Place Christmas Card Challenge - haven't had a chance to post them before now!! The challenge was to make a Christmas card not using Red, Gold or Green - I first made the Green penguin one & then realised it was Green LOL! so made the Pink one too! The lovely Snowflake embellishments are courtesy of the lovely Craftygranny and OAP, the scalloped circle is courtesy of the lovely Flourgirl and papers are freebies from Funkyfairys and gorgeous penguin image is a freebie from Pollycraft
