My Craft Room...

I haven't just been making Babeecakes over the summer months... I have also been sorting out my craft/work rooms - with a lot of help from my lovely hubby!! There will be plenty of photos & blog posts detailing the transformation to follow but in the meantime here is a taster of how bad it was to start with!

I have two areas for crafting - one is my small craft room that has been nicknamed the 'dolly room' - mainly by my hubby cos everything is girly, pretty and pink and well 'dolly' in his eyes lol! and the other room is our spare room and my work room for making Babeecakes, Towel Cakes & Hampers and my 'Dolly' room just isn't big enough for making those!! Anyway, here is a photo of my 'dolly room' before we started it was just a small room full to bursting with craft stash and nappies & hamper ingredients!
It was a challenge to even get in the room to start sorting and organising...

So before I got started I needed to go shopping for some organisational essentials so off I went shopping (oh if I must!) and bought some pretty, pink, girly folders and storage boxes to get the organisation moving - all found in the sales which is always a plus - I love a bargain!! How pretty are these floral union jack ring binders - I bought 7 large ones & 6 slim ones and they were from Quality Seconds - they also had matching pens, notepads & post-it cube so I got a few of those too...

And then I found these cute cupcake storage boxes in WhSmith all reduced to half price

drawer unit - I bought 2 of these and they currently house my clear stamps and acrylic blocks

Cd boxes - really useful!

and photo boxes - I got 6 of these for sorting out all my photos - which I will get round to someday...

thats all for now will post again soon with update...

Mmmm Choc & Vanilla Neutral Babeecake...

Another neutral cake but this time I decided to make it in creams and choc browns and even made some cute little choc/vanilla sock cupcakes!! Sooo cute!

and finished off wrapped in cello with gold stars and matching curling ribbons and tag!

Luxury 'huge' Babeecake

Another Babeecake I made a few months ago - I made this for a really good friend of mine to give to one of her friends - at the time we didn't know whether she was having a boy or a girl so she asked me to make a neutral one but quite modern so after seeing the 'starry' sleepsuits in Asda which I thought would match the lovely star embossed blanket from Adams (oooh its a shame they no longer do those as I've used all the ones I had and nice white blankets are so hard to find!) and the gorgeous 'kerchief' style bibs on the internet I decided on a black/white/silver colour theme - the cake was actually massive there was so much stuff in it including some pampering bits for mum to be!

Its a shame as the photos really don't do it justice - I spent ages trying to get good photos but it was really difficult and it was such a beautiful cake (even if I do say so myself haha!!) It was lovely!

'Snow/Snowboarding' themed Babeecake

And another Babeecake and this time I was asked to make one with a snowy theme and match their logo (turquoise & white) as the couple it was for run a skiing company in France and are keen snowboarders! It took me a while to think what I could do using turquoise & white (I didn't know if it was for a girl or boy and didn't want it to look too boyish in case it was a girl!) but when I found the little knitted penguin and matching t-shirt the rest just seemed to fall into place and luckily my M-I-L is a fantastic knitter and knitted the gorgeous hat to match the cake!!! I also added snowflake ribbon that I had in my stash and snowflakes made with my Martha Stewart punch in silver metallic card. I also added white cotton wool balls to look like 'snowballs'

Forever Friends Blue & White Daisy BabeeCake

I was asked to make a BabeeCake for a little boy and this is what I came up with...

Sooooo cute!

60th Survival Hamper...

I was asked by a friend to make up a 60th Survival Hamper for a male 60th birthday - I hadn't made one before so after some advice from some of the lovely MSE ladies and some 'googling' I set to work and was pretty pleased with how it turned out! Think I will be making more of these...
Here it is put together...
and here are a couple of close ups of the personalised notepad and napping pads I made...
and all wrapped up!!
If you would like to know the contents please click on the image to see more detail or email me and I can send you a list - there is loads!

Engagement Card & Towel Cake

Here is an engagement card & towel cake I made - the card I made on my pc using a tatty ted image and text and then cut out using my cuttlebug and nesties! and then I just added some 'bling' and stickles for some added 'prettiness'...

and here is the towel cake - sorry for the poor quality photos - taken at night!! I'm hoping to improve the quality of my photos very soon!
Contents of the cake are: towel bale consisting of 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 flannels, a bottle of champagne, and 2 champagne flutes and the cake was decorated with personalised hearts (the couples initials) and snowflakes as the couple who got engaged live in france and run a skiing holiday company!

30th Birthday Card and hamper

It was my friend Natalie's 30th Birthday back in January and I made her a couple of cards and a hamper! Here is the first card I made her - isn't the image cute - he's called theodore!!!! and he's the creation of a very talented lady and you can find lots of her creations here at Little Musings...

and the second card I made her was using some stamped cocktail images from craftwork cards and given to me by the lovely Mrs Tidge!!

and then here is the 'cocktail' hamper I made her...

Finally blogging again...

I must apologise for being a very absent blogger again and promise I will do better! I have quite a few things to blog that I have been making this year so here comes the catchup with lots of things to blog...
